About the Event

“Europe will not be made all at once, or according to a single plan. It will be built through concrete achievements which first create a de facto solidarity. The coming together of the nations of Europe requires the elimination of the age-old opposition of France and Germany.”

The Schuman 2.0 Ambassadors’ training takes place in frame of the “Schuman 2.0” project, co-funded by the Europe for Citizens Programme of the European Union, which is aimed to contribute to citizens' understanding of the EU, its’ history and diversity and to raise awareness of remembrance, common history and values and the aim of the EU.

The Training will help young activists from civil society organisations to build closer links with students and citizens, to raise awareness of one of the founding moments of the European Integration project and to better prepare citizens in order to undertake active role in the ongoing debate on the future of Europe.

The young Ambassadors will learn how to co-organise local events, how to involve participants from different backgrounds and how to interact with different nationalities.

The event will run on two days starting on Saturday 14th of December morning and ending on Sunday 15th of December 13:00.

A visit to the House of European History can be organised on Sunday from 14:30 to 15:30, please indicate in the registration form.

The programme will include different sessions as follows:

· Saturday will be dedicated to group cohesion and to the historical moment that inspires European unity from the Schuman declaration in 1950 forward on. The second half of the day will focuss on the Schuman 2.0 project activities and facilitation skills.

· Sundaysessions will focus on improving skills in organization of Intercultural meetings and events in view to implement the local activities in the frame of the Schuman 2.0 project. Several workshops and practical sessions will permit the Ambassadors to experience facilitation methodologies.

Interaction and the exchange of ideas and experiences is encouraged – participants will learn from one another as well as from expert speakers and facilitators.
