Brussels | 14 - 15 December 2019

Call is closed - ambassadors have been selected.

The Schuman 2.0 Ambassadors’ training takes place in frame of the “Schuman 2.0” project, co-funded by the Europe for Citizens Programme of the European Union, which is aimed to contribute to citizens' understanding of the EU, its’ history and diversity and to raise awareness of remembrance, common history and values and the aim of the EU.

The Training will help young activists from civil society organisations to build closer links with students and citizens, to raise awareness of one of the founding moments of the European Integration project and to better prepare citizens in order to undertake active role in the ongoing debate on the future of Europe.

The young Ambassadors will learn how to co-organise local events, how to involve participants from different backgrounds and how to interact with different nationalities.

The event will run on two days starting on Saturday 14th of December morning and ending on Sunday 15th of December 13:00.

Programme

The programme will include different sessions as follows:

  • Saturday will be dedicated to group cohesion and to the historical moment that inspires European unity from the Schuman declaration in 1950 forward on. In the second part of the day the focus will be put on the Schuman 2.0 project and its' activities and objectives and gaining facilitation skills.

  • Sunday sessions will focus on improving skills in organization of Intercultural meetings and events in view to implement the local activities in the frame of the Schuman 2.0 project. Several workshops and practical sessions will permit the Ambassadors to experience facilitation methodologies. Participants will exercise their practical skills acquired during the training, shape the local events in small groups and present the outcomes to the plenary.

Interaction and the exchange of ideas and experiences is encouraged – participants will learn from one another as well as from expert speakers and facilitators.
